About The Artist
Woodgrain Inspirations was spawned from an exchange at Christmas with Sheila receiving a frame and George being the recipient of a painting. These two items led to a reflective notion of combining their talents in a truly unique form.
The frames became a one-of-a-kind in that the wood selected had a characteristic that was nature inspired. The frame then led to brainstorming as to what would partner as a painting subject. It was a very time-consuming process as coming up with the subject matter that was complimentary to the unique wood charactersitics was difficult. Creating just a painting inside an artsy frame was not acceptable, the painting had to be inextricably linked to the characteristics of the wooden frame. |
